This is a stay based on hiking, a wonderful adventure for lovers of nature and outdoors.
We will begin our trek at the north, in the Otavalo area to acclimatize slowly. We will make many meetings with the different communities around, the kindness of people will impress you.
In this tour, we will follow the footsteps of the Incas, on the Capac Ñan which crosses the valley of Cañar to the foot of the Inca religious center: Ingapirca, the most important of Ecuador.
The trekking or Inca Trail takes place on an already existing part of the communication routes of the Inca Empire which at the time was spread over 5000 km from Quito to Talca.
We will end our stay in the tranquil and relaxing spa town of Banos and also in the Cotopaxi National Park where the volcano of the same name stands; the Cotopaxi which is the highest active volcano in the world (5897 m).

Day 1: Quito – Colonial Quito – Guayasamín Museum – Quito
Visit the historic center of Quito, declared as world heritage and Guaysamín museum, La Capilla del Hombre Overnight in Quito. B - L
Day 2: Quito – Ruins of Cochasqui - Otavalo Market - Otavalo
Departure by private vehicle to the province of Imbabura. En route, visit the pre-Inca ruins of Cochasqui, pyramid-shaped buildings. Installation in hotel in Otavalo. In the afternoon, visit the most famous traditional and artisanal market of Ecuador. Overnight in Otavalo. B
Day 3: Ascent of Fuya Fuya volcano (4250 m) - Night in the community of San Clemente.
Breakfast. Ascent of Fuya Fuya volcano (4250 m altitude), the first acclimatization hike with a magnificent view of the Mojanda Lagoon. Picnic while hiking. Continue further north to the community of San Clemente where we will spend the night. Overnight stay at the community of San Clemente. Day 4: Hike from Zuleta to Cubilche (3826 m) and departure to Latacunga
Breakfast. Hike from Zuleta to Cerro Cubilche (beautiful rural scenes). Return to San Clemente and head south towards Latacunga. Overnight in Latacunga. B - L (Box lunch)
Day 5: Quilotoa lake and community - Hike around the lagoon - Overnight in the community of Quilotoa
Breakfast. Departure to the community and Lake Quilotoa. We will undertake that day a hike around this active crater at a constant altitude of 4000 meters (5 to 6 hours of walking). A breathtaking landscape awaits you ...

Day 6: Quilotoa – Hike from Quilotoa to Tigua - Riobamba
After breakfast, we continue our itinerant journey to the village of Tigua crossing the geological fault of Zumbahua and the canyon of Toachi River (5 hours of walking). Picnic while hiking. Continue to Riobamba city also known as the Sultan of the Andes at 2750 meters above sea level. Overnight in Riobamba. B - L (Box Lunch)
Day 7: Riobamba - Achupallas – Inca Trail
Breakfast. In the morning, departure to Achupallas, village where we will load our mules with our camping equipment. Snack. In the early afternoon, we will hike to our first camp. Dinner.

Day 8: Inca Trail
Breakfast. We will begin our trek by engulfing us between two mountains "Callana Pucara" and "Mapahuina" following the banks of the Cadrul river, using the way of the Incas until the laguna of three cruces and we will mount our second camp. Picnic while hiking. Beautiful Andean landscapes. Dinner.

Day 9: Inca Trail
Breakfast. Hiking to Lake Culebrillas, spectacular remains of the path of the Inca including arriving on Espindola. Stop at the ruins of Paredones. Picnic while hiking. Third camp.

Day 10: Inca trail – Ingapirca - Baños
Breakfast. Hike to Ingapirca where we will visit the site of the same name, religious site of great importance in the history of the Incas. Picnic while hiking. Departure to Banos, spa town famous for its hot water pools and nestled near the splendid active volcano Tungurahua (5016 m)

Day 11: Baños
Visit Banos, spa town renowned for its hot water pools and the proximity of the splendid active volcano Tungurahua (5016 m), Baños is a small corner of paradise where one has the impression that the time stopped. In the morning, discover the waterfall Manto de la Novia and Pailon del Diablo waterfall.
In the afternoon, explore the city center, the cathedral, the balsa and tagua (vegetable ivory) workshops.
Possibility to bathe in the thermal waters of the village, Spa, thermal waters, Banos de Cajon, Swimming pool. Hotel in Banos.

Day 12: Baños – Cotopaxi National Park - Quito
Departure after breakfast to Cotopaxi National Park. In the park, we will stop at the Limpiopungo lagoon (3830 m), to observe the birds typical of the Andean moorlands, and then continue by car until the parking area (4500 m). From here we´ll start a hike (364 meters difference in altitude) to the José Ribas refuge at 4864 m. Box lunch at refuge. Return to Quito. Overnight in Quito. B - L (Box Lunch)

Meals mentioned in the program are included and those not mentioned are left to your choice. Your guide and traveling companion will tell you interesting places or restaurants, and may also assist you in your discovery, if you wish.
